Inspired by Baryshnikov and Fred Astaire, Tom Mattingly began dance classes at the age of 4.  At 17 he signed his first professional contract with Richmond Ballet.  By 25 he was a principal dancer with Ballet West.  In 2016 he toured the US with Christopher Wheeldon's 4x Tony Award Winning musical "An American in Paris."  In 2019 he became ballet master for Madison Ballet. Now splitting his time between Madison and Chicago, Tom has developed into an insightful teacher & creative choreographer. From ballet to Broadway he's done it all and the next generation is benefitting from his expertise.
